A few images from over the years photographing wild horses. A while back, I went with my son-in-law to photograph him and his friends practicing shoeing a draft horse for an upcoming farrier contest they were entered in. The contest was in Lexington, Kentucky, at Spy Coast Farms. Backlit light with dust flying while a horse is doing his thing, I’ll take that picture any day!!! I love only that which they defend.” Yesterday ended up a successful trip! I haven’t had a chance to go through my images yet. But I think there are a few keepers in there. There ended up being a dozen or so people out there by the end of the day but they were all great folks. I ran into @jessleephotos who had a group. I went to one of his workshops a couple of years ago to the McCullough Peaks wild horses in Wyoming. It was good to see him. I’m heading out to the range today to photograph the Onaquis. The weather is supposed to be beautiful, sunny sky’s and in the 60’s. I’ve heard there are a few photography workshops going on out there. So that should be fun. Last year I was out there the same time and it was a total shit show! Haha Who else is chomping at the bit to get in the mountains this summer? 🙋‍♂️ Onaqui herd management area in Utahs West Desert.
